Cragside Church of England Primary School is open to pupils from 8.45 am to 3:15pm for Key Stage 1 & 2. Reception class timings are 8:45am to 3.10pm. Children from Nursery can be collected from 3:00pm until 3:15pm. This provides a total opening time for the majority pupils of 32.5 hours per week.

Arriving at School

Our external doors open from 8:30am with registration beginning at 8:45am.

Late Arrivals

Once doors have closed , all children arriving after 8.45am will need to be brought to the main reception by an adult to be signed in and will be registered as late. This will appear on your child’s attendance record. Please try to ensure your child arrives on time.

Absence

If your child is ill please contact the school office (01670 714200) to let us know the reason for absence and possible duration. We can then authorise the absence. If your child is absent and we have not heard from you, the office will phone contact numbers to find out the reason for absence.

Appointments

If your child has an appointment during the school day you will need to sign them out at the school office when you collect them. Pupils should return to school after their appointment where possible.

Holidays

School are unable to authorise holidays due to Department for Education Legislation.

  • Years 1 – 6: 08:45 – 15:15
