Cragside Church of England School is a thriving, vibrant, two form entry school located in the town of Cramlington, Northumberland.  Our school vision, ‘Let Your Light Shine’ is taken from Matthew’s Gospel. This fully encapsulates the purpose of our school. Every single day, we strive for, and see, all of the children and staff in our school shining brightly. As a school, love is very much interwoven into everything that we do.

Every single child deserves to have the opportunity to flourish and excel and we ensure our children have a range of rich experiences so that they can achieve more than they ever thought possible.  We want every child in our school to develop the skills they need to live life in all its fullness, to be the very best that they can be and fulfil their God given potential.

Every child within our school brings with them a truly unique mix of experiences, needs, hopes and dreams. We nurture each of these academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually, in a supportive way, so that light will shine from every child, in both our school and the wider community.

In school, our Christian values of kindness, love, joy, respect, perseverance and forgiveness are demonstrated in action, every day, and embedded in all that we do.  We offer a spacious, happy, secure, inclusive and stimulating environment in which every child develops a thirst for knowledge, a love of learning and a joy of life around them. Every child is valued in our school, their gifts and talents are celebrated and we strive to achieve the very best possible outcomes throughout their primary school journey.

We work hard to nurture every child’s talents and abilities, providing them with the range of opportunities needed to reach their full potential and be happy, confident and enthusiastic learners. We work in partnership with parents as we know that the link between home and school is integral to your child’s success. We provide a well-thought out, purposeful, broad and balanced curriculum and actively promote the safeguarding of all children through all that we do.

We hope our website gives you a good insight into life at Cragside.
